Aggregated information refers to information that is representative of a group of anonymous individuals. An example of aggregated information includes "Number of quick quotes viewed by all users collectively in the month of Septempter 2001".
Aggregated information is supplied to data vendors, such as the ASX, for the purpose of calculating royalty payments.
Where WebLink is a third party content provider to another website or service, aggregate for that client only will be supplied to that client for the purpose of billing, advertisement revenue (where applicable) and for research and development.

This data will be used for the following purposes:
- Completion and support of the current activity.

- Visitor-selected site customization.

This information is required in order to uniquely identify you when you use the WebLink services. Unique identification allows for the level of access to be customised to the plan that you are on. It also allows you to set up server stored details such as your portfolio for convenient access.
Your email address may be used if we need to contact you for technical reasons (such as support), or if we need to contact you for billing reasons.
Your email address may also be used in order to send you daily stock market information (if your level of access permits this). It may also be used to send you promotional material.

Group "Per session cookies"
We collect the following information:

- Visitor-selected site customization. The user must opt-in to this usage.
- One-time tailoring. The user must opt-in to this usage.

The following explanation is provided for why this data is collected:
Cookies are used to store your UserID, while you are logged in. Your UserID is needed in order to know what services you have access to.
ASP session cookies are also stored for a similar reason, however we are in the process of phasing these out of our systems for compatability reasons.
A GroupID cookie is also stored. This keeps track of which website you have connected to the WebLink services through, or if you are a direct subscriber to WebLink. If you are not connecting directly to WebLink, then you are connecting to one of our 'private-label' clients and may need to review their privacy policy as well.
Some basic user preferences may also be stored in cookies. You may delete any/all permanent cookies at any time without causing any problems to your account or ability to log in. However, per-session cookies must be accepted.
Cookies

A cookie is an element of data that a Web site can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 will evaluate this policy's compact policy whenever it is used with a cookie.
The actions IE will take depend on what privacy level the user has selected in their browser (Low, Medium, Medium High, or High; the default is Medium.
In addition, IE will examine whether the cookie's policy is considered satisfactory or unsatisfactory, whether the cookie is a session cookie or a persistent cookie, and whether the cookie is used in a first-party or third-party context.
